The Honda Civic LX-S is yet another economical sedan out in the market. In fact, the Honda Civic LX-S runs on a 1.8-liter engine which gives the car a total of 140 horsepower. However, the car has low torque, thus this might pose as a problem if you drive in hilly terrains. The car can give you 26/35 mpg on its 5 speed manual or automatic transmission. For me, this model has too many straight "angles" rather than the curves that come with the other car models of the same timeframe.
